Bankers have ordered that A to Z Restaurants, which owns nine London eateries, be put up for sale at £10m after running into financial difficulties. Gordon Ramsey and Marco Pierre White are thought to be among those interested in the chain, which employs between 400 and 500 staff. The privately-owned company's restaurants include Aubergines, Zafferano and Memories of China. The largest shareholders are two holding companies, one registered in the UK and the other in Panama.
