The Real China, the Chinese restaurant chain, will open its 20th site in the UK next month, after securing a unit at The Loom retail and leisure park in Leigh, near Manchester, The 19-strong company, which is backed by Hengjia Holdings, will open a 5,000sq ft restaurant at the scheme alongside a Frankie & Benny’s and Cineworld. All three new sites will open on 18 November. The final 3,400sq ft restaurant unit on the new 150,000sq ft scheme is also now under offer to a major international restaurant brand, which has more than 300 restaurants worldwide. Earlier this year, The Real China opened its first Real China Express outlet at the ex-Smollensky’s unit in London’s Hammersmith. The 65-cover site features an eat-in and takeaway service aimed at lunchtime trade in the area. Early reports suggest that the new format trading well.
