Pizza Hut has announced plans to more than double its 318-strong delivery estate by 2020, with the opening on average of 40 new sites a year, which will take its number of stores its delivers from to approximately 700. The company, which operates from c,700 sites in the UK in total, is planning to take on around 15 new franchisees a year and is targeting major cities, such as Manchester and Birmingham, as specific key growth areas. The chain, which is owned by Yum! Brands, said that Pizza Hut Delivery has experienced double-digit growth like-for-like sales regularly over the past three years Mark Fox, business director, Pizza Hut Delivery, said: "Customers have responded to the simple fact that we deliver great tasting pizzas, quickly, at great value. We've experienced significant sales growth in the last two years, and we're bullish about our prospects of continued success as we expand our estate."
