Pizza Express, the 384-strong chain owned by Gondola, has signed an agreement to offer free wi-fi at its restaurants nationwide. The agreement with wi-fi provider, The Cloud, will allow customers to browse the internet, catch up on email, stream video and music and interact with a range of mobile applications from dedicated in-store hotspots. Pizza Express joins operators, such as McDonalds, Prêt a Manger and JD Wetherspoon, in offering free wi-fi to their customers. John Sullivan, IT director at Pizza Express, said: "We believe today's wi-fi roll out will genuinely improve our customers' experience of eating out at Pizza Express. The roll out satisfies growing consumer demand for free access to the web in our restaurants and the convenience and flexibility that brings.”
