West Cornwall Pasty Company says its challenge is to grow beyond 50 shops without resorting to the rigid controls the likes of McDonald’s exercises. The 47-strong Helston, Cornwall-based chain, says it is still battling to stick to its ideals by keeping it personal and trusting in its 450 staff.
