Veteran French chef Michel Roux says that London's restaurants are still inferior to those of Paris and New York. Gourmet, America's leading food magazine, last year hailed London as "the best place to eat on the planet". But Roux says that although restaurants have improved a lot over the last few years, to call London the "restaurant capital of the world" is a joke.
