Out of Town Restaurant Group (OTRG) has opened a new restaurant and bar concept called the Lounge, in Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre. The company has converted a 5,000 sq m former pub into a wet led bar offering casual all day dining in an open area, with space for 160 covers. The restaurant will be the group’s fifth in Sheffield and is expected to produce a weekly turnover of £25,000. OTRG owns ten different branded restaurants in shopping centres throughout the UK. If successful, the group is aiming to roll out the new concept to the rest of its restaurants, starting with one or two early next year. Andrew Hardill, director of restaurants, told M&C Report: “We are also looking to expand and buy more restaurant across the country.”
