Jamie Oliver is to launch a high street chain of Italian restaurants. The first, called Jamie's Italian, will open in Bath early next year and he plans 20 across Britain within five years. Oliver and his business partners, including Wagamama chairman Ian Neill, are raising £7.5m to fund the restaurants, which will open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering a range of basic Italian food at affordable prices. They are expected to compete with chains like Strada and Carluccio's. The Sunday Times 07/10/07 (Business) page 3.2
