Nando’s, the chicken casual dining chain, is to launch its first restaurant in Edinburgh after acquiring a site at the Fountain Park leisure complex. The company has taken a new 25-year lease at a rent of £82,500 per annum on the new unit that it plans to open in June. The 3,475sq ft Nando’s store will be located within the leisure park, which also includes other restaurants, bars, a health club, cinema, bowling centre and a casino. The company, which has around 181 stores in the UK, is in negotiations over several other outlets in Scotland, including a site in Stirling scheduled to open in June.
