Mitchells & Butlers (M&B) has increased the performance bonus of its four executive directors by over 25% this year. The annual report showed that their aggregate performance bonus rose from £865,000 in 2005 to £1.222m in 2006. The chief executive Tim Clarke's total salary including bonus reached £951,000 compared to £842,000 the previous year. He earned a basic salary of £526,000, a performance bonus of £402,000 and benefits of £23,000. Karim Naffah, the company's finance director, saw his total payments increase to £677,000 from £595,000. Mike Bramley, M&B's pubs and bars division managing director took home a total salary of £643,000, which increased from £549,000 in 2005. The pub restaurant division managing director, Tony Hughes, was given a total remuneration of £645,000, up from £575,000. During 2006, M&B saw share prices rise to more than 700p.
