Struggling Little Chef, the chain of 235 roadside restaurants bought from ventured capital group Premira little more than 12 months ago, is trying to find new investors. Catering entrepreneurs Lawrence Wosskow and Simon Heath paid £52m for the group and then raised £59m by selling the freehold outlets to an Israeli investor. But burdened by high rents on the sold outlets, the company is now in crisis talks to raise new cash. According to one source Little Chef, originally built up by the Forte catering empire, wants to find a backer or new buyer by the end of this week. The Sunday Times 17/12/06 (Business) page 3.1
