Mike James has stepped down as commercial director at Little Chef, the roadside restaurant chain owned by RCapital, to pursue other interests. James, who has been with the company for over three year will leave the c.160-strong business on 20 December. A replacement for James has not as yet been announced. Tracey Mulligan, managing director, told M&C Report: “As a board member and commercial director of the Little Chef business, Mike has played an important role in driving the recovery of the Little Chef business, during his time with us.” Earlier this month, the group placed 19 sites on the market as part of an ongoing review of its estate. The company have made available to let eight closed Little Chefs and 11 former Burger King outlets, which are located on Little Chef sites that continue to trade.
