Japan’s agriculture minister has set up a panel to discuss a certification system for Japanese restaurants abroad.
It is intended to “improve the reliability of our country’s food” in foreign countries. Japanese tourists have often complained about poor quality food, especially since the proliferation of sushi bars around the world.
