Celebrity chef Anthony Worrall Thompson claims that paranoia about hygiene will be the downfall of modern society. He spoke out after researchers slammed hygiene levels after watching 60 hours of TV cooking programmes from Britain, America and Canada. University professor Doug Powell accused chefs of spending so much time "talking in flowery language" that they forgot the basics of food safety.
