Burger King is to revamp its UK menu and follow McDonald's down the health-kick route after admitting the UK is a problem area ahead of its $2.5bn (£1.4bn) flotation. Wall Street analysts are nervous partly because the British outlets are doing so badly and also because the burger industry is about to come under fire again from Fast Food Nation author Eric Schlosser. A spokesman said Burger King planned to improve operations and the restaurants' image. This would include "filling menu gaps to more closely match consumer tastes".
