Handmade Burger Company, the Birmingham-based burger chain, has opened its second site in Glasgow and its 11th unit overall. The company, which was launched in 2006 in Birmingham’s Brindleyplace, has opened in the Braehead shopping centre in Glasgow. It also has a unit in the city’s Silverburn development. Led by Chris Sergeant, the company has also taken a site at the Central Village complex in Liverpool. The group currently operates further sites in Aberdeen, Gateshead, Glasgow, Hull, Leicester. Lincoln, in Meadowhall and Valley Centertainment in Sheffield, and Solihull. It has secured a site at the planned London Designer Outlet in Wembley, London. The proposed 280,000sq ft centre is scheduled to open in 2013.
