Gaucho, the Argentinian steakhouse concept, is set to open its first restaurant in Dublin. The group has acquired the leasehold interest of the former Ron’s Blacks bar in the city for a premium of a reported Eu450,000 (£383,000). The site came to the market following the receivership of the Thomas Read Group, which ran a clutch of Irish licensed bars. Gaucho, which has 14 restaurants in London and Manchester, is reported to be planning to spend in excess of Eu500,000 on the refurbishment of the site, which is located near a Mario Pierre White restaurant close by on Dawson Street and the Town Bar and Grill on Kildare Street.
