Fashion entrepreneur Harold Tillman, who owns Jaeger, is planning an aggressive expansion into the restaurant business. He already has major stakes or outright control of five London restaurants, including the Notting Hill Brasserie and The Ebury, as well as control of three American-style delis run by his son Mitchell. Now it is understood he is planning a stock market flotation of his interest in the sector in November, although whether on the main market or AIM is unclear. Sources say Tillman believes the central London restaurant sector as ripe for consolidation And although he refused to comment on his plans, it is thought he has several high-profile Italian restaurants in his sights.
