Former BBC chairman Gavyn Davies is backing the expansion of upmarket fast-food restaurant Leon, which was co-founded by newsreader Katie Denham's husband John Vincent and broadcaster David Dimbleby's son Henry. His private equity firm Active Capital is the leading contributor to a £2.8m fund-raising to expand the business from its original site in London's Carnaby Street to three more outlets. Other backers include Ian Neill, of Wagamama noodle bars, and James Horler, of the La Tasca group. The Sunday Times 07/08/05 (Business) page 3.2
