Eat, the sandwich shop chain, which was acquired by private equity firm Lyceum Capital in March this year, has taken its estate in the capital to 100 by taking a site at More London. The company, which also operates 25 sites in cities around the UK, has taken the former Café Amore unit in 6 More London Place on a new lease. It joins Itsu, Pod, Pret a Manger and Spianata & Co, which recently opened within PwC’s new headquarters building, as well as restaurants such as Strada, Dim T and Gaucho Grill. The chain, which is led by founders Niall and Faith MacArthur, has said it will continue to aggressively expand its portfolio on high streets to take it to 200 over the next four years. Kate Taylor, of Davis Coffer Lyons, who acted on behalf of the landlord, said: “F&B accommodation at More London is highly sought-after, due to a potent mix that includes a high concentration of workers on site and an audience of leisure visitors to the surrounding area; there was extremely high demand for this unit.”
