Cote Restaurants, the French bistro chain run by Andy Bassadone and owned by Richard Caring, has secured its 30th site. The company has taken a new lease from Blue Mango Investments Ltd on The George bar and restaurant in Esher, Surrey. It is thought that the group, which first launched in Wimbledon in 2007, will look to open the new site around before the end of the year. Cote recently secured a new lease on the Ignite Group’s former Playtime bar unit in London’s Islington. Property advisor Shelley Sandzer acted on behalf of Cote on both the recent deals. Director Nick Weir told M&C Report: “Cote acted quickly to secure a new lease on The George in Esher, a town with a demographic which suited them ideally.” The French brasserie chain is thought to be eyeing a site in the Brunswick Shopping Centre in Bloomsbury, London. Outside of the capital, it continues to target affluent towns and cities like Canterbury, Chelmsford, Cheltenham, Exeter, Marlow, Oxford, Portsmouth (Gunwharf Quays), Winchester and Windsor.
