Cote, the French bistro chain backed by Richard Caring, is on track to open eight sites this year, after securing the former Brasserie Gerard unit in Oxford. The 34-strong group is currently on site at the former Paramount Restaurants unit, which has reverted back to The Restaurant Group and been surrendered to the local council, with an opening scheduled for November. The company, which recently denied sale rumours, has secured five new sites this year and expects to take on another three, including a further site in London before the end of the year It recently secured a new lease at a nil premium on the Chelsea Brasserie site at Sloane Square Hotel, which will become the group’s 19th in the capital.
