Cosmo, the Hertfordshire-based, pan-Asian restaurant operator, is close to securing a number of sites across the UK as it looks to cement its pipeline of openings for 2013. The 13-strong group, which was founded in 2003 and is led by Tom Chan, is set to open in Belfast and Aberdeen before then end of the year and has also secured sites in Blackpool and Derby for openings in the next six months. The company, which earlier this year launch a new world food concept called Goji World Banquet and Grill in Essex, is also close to securing sites in Preston and Birmingham for 2013 openings. The group acquired the former Walkabout site in Southampton last year and recently secured its first site in the north of England, after signing up for a unit at the £200m Central Village scheme in Liverpool.
