Chapman Group, the West Sussex-based pub and hotel operator, has disposed of the freehold interest of The Trout in Worthing. Alan Linton currently also operates the Marquis of Granby in Redhill, Surrey. He plans to refurbish the Trout and reopen the pub under a new name — The Farmhouse. Christie & Co handled the disposal. The Chapman group runs the RelaxInnz chain of 24 hotels across Southern England. The Trout is a detached property comprising an L-shaped lounge bar; a conservatory restaurant and further restaurant area with a total of 60 covers; and two-bedroom owner’s/staff accommodation. The business also benefits from trade patio areas at the front and rear, and a 48-space car park.
