Cattle Grid, the fast casual steakhouse chain, is to launch its fourth site next week in Leeds. The Leeds city centre site will be the first operated in the north of the country by the company, which is owned by Steve Novak and Shaun Grey. The chain, which also operates sites in Windsor, and in Balham and Clapham in London, is currently in talks to open a fifth unit next spring at the Southside development in Wandsworth. Novak told M&C Report that two new additions will be funded out of cash flow and that the chain hoped to add a further site by the end of 2012. The Cattle Grid concept is based on Gourmet Burger Kitchen’s counter service model and serves British steaks sourced from Smithfield market. Property advisor CWM is advising Delancey on the Southside site.
