The Italian restaurant and shops chain Carluccio's is to float by the end of the year with a price tag of about £55m.
The flotation could earn celebrity chef Antonio Carluccio and his wife, who own 20% of the stock, more than £10m.
The chain had considered a trade sale, perhaps to La Tasca or Urban Dining, which owns Tootsies brasseries.
