Busaba Eathai, the Thai restaurant chain founded by Alan Yau, has secured a site in London’s Clerkenwell The company, which is backed by Phoenix Capital Partners and run by operations director Jale Erentok, has taken a 25-year lease on a 4,222sq ft unit at the Angel Building. The group, which currently operates nine sites, expects to open the new restaurant in January next year. It is set to open a the site on the Kings Road, Chelsea before the end of the year. The group opened its first site outside the capital in Bicester Village in February, which was followed by further openings this year in Covent Garden and at Westfield Stratford.
