Burger King, the fast food franchise company, named Andrew Brent as its new chief marketing officer, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its senior management team. Brent, formerly regional marketing director for Watsons the Asian chemist group, said that he was keen to help drive growth for the fast food brand. Prior to his time at Watsons, he was marketing director for Iceland and spent 14 years at Proctor & Gamble. "In Andy, we believe we are bringing into our leadership team an outstanding marketer with a successful international track record of building great brands, both in a well-respected, branded consumer goods organisation as well as international retail environments," said Nish Kankiwala, Burger King president Brent's appointment follows that of Denny Post, chief food innovation officer at KFC, to the role of chief concept officer. She will be responsible for all product marketing and product developments.
