Tragus Group, the privately owned casual dining operator, is to open another Bella Italia restaurant in London’s West End later this summer. The group, whose portfolio of brands also include Strada and Cafe Rouge, has taken a lease for 65 Strand, a 5,000 sq ft ground floor unit between Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden, for an undisclosed sum. Tragus operates 83 Bella Italia branches across the UK, 14 of which are located in London. The outlet on the Strand will become its 15th Bella site in the capital. Davis Coffer Lyons (DCL) handled the disposal of the lease on behalf of Heinz. Earlier this year the group took its third site for a Bella Italia in Covent Garden. It obtained the lease of Le Café Du Jardin back in March.
