The Aroma Group has invested £800,000 in opening a flagship restaurant adjacent to Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena. Alisan, which has 200 covers, serves dim sum and fine Chinese cuisine for an average spend of £45. The group, which is headed by Colin Wong, already have eight Aroma restaurants in the UK, which serve a Chinese buffet-style menu at the value end of the market. The split-level establishment has a cocktail lounge on the top floor serving drinks and snacks. Wong told M&C Report that the new restaurant is a more premium concept than the group’s other sites. He said: “The Wembley area deserves a first rate modern Chinese restaurant offering fine dining and good dim sum.” The company’s business plan has been affected by the delay in the opening of Wembley Stadium and it will therefore only look to expand further once Alisan is running successfully.
