3Sixty Restaurants, which operates the Ego and Rocket restaurant brands, has exchanged with British Land to open a new Rocket site in London’s Bishopsgate. The located at 201 Bishopsgate, the new 130-cover site, which will be spread over be over two floors, will be the fourth Rocket in central London. The restaurant, which will feature a full bar, is due to open next spring. 3Sixty, which is backed by James Horler and Luke Johnson, was formed in March and currently comprises eight Ego restaurants in the Midlands and North of England and three Rocket restaurants in Mayfair, the City and Canary Wharf. Horler, chief executive said “We are delighted to be opening a new Rocket. We acquired the business six months ago and recent trading has been excellent, which has given us the confidence to expand the Rocket brand.” Rocket, which was founded by husband and wife duo Anna and Duncan Watts, with partner Amit Joshi in 1999, serves high quality pizza and salads with an extensive wine and cocktail list. Duncan Watts was one of the founders of the Pitcher & Piano chain of pubs that was sold to Marston’s in 1996. The majority shareholders continue to be significant shareholders in 3Sixty Restaurants.
