Young’s has opened two new sites in west London, writes Lesley Foottit. The Brook Green Pub, Dining Room & Hotel has launched in Hammersmith and the Cock Tavern is up and running in Fulham. The Brook Green seats 156 across restaurant, bar and cellar areas, with a further 55 seats in the garden and room for 250 people standing inside. Head chef Mark Wales has put together a menu of traditional dishes with a twist, such as potted shrimp and mackerel rillette (£8.95) and his signature triple-layered mushroom duxelle sandwich, served up with a roasted-garlic custard (£6.95). The Cock Tavern has space for 200 guests and has a traditional menu. Dishes will include the Fulham Broadway — an all-day breakfast for two with Somerset bacon, bubble and squeak, fried free-range eggs, rosemary tomatoes, ‘London bangers’ and field mushrooms, all mopped up with toast (£17.50).
