York Brewery is to open its sixth pub in South Yorkshire, with the launch of the Thomas Osborne in Leeds, in conjunction with Enterprise Inns. Based in the heart of Roundhay, the pub, which will become the group’s second in Leeds, will re-open before the end of this month after a major refurbishment. The Thomas Osborne, which is named after the 1st Duke of Leeds, will feature home-cooked food, continental lagers and a range of cask conditioned ales, many from local breweries such as Roosters in West Yorkshire and the brewery’s very own award winning Guzzler. Andrew Barker, managing director of York Brewery said “At a time when around 29 pubs a week are closing, it’s really positive to be reviving a local pub for the community. It’s great to be working alongside Enterprise Inns on this venture, investing in the local area and expanding our heartland.”
