WL Leisure, the South Yorkshire-based company, is to relaunch its second pub in the area in conjunction with Enterprise Inns. The company, which is led by Chris Windle, has re-opened the Millwright's Arms in Sheffield as The Millhouses. The pub, which will serve real ale and traditional food, will re-open next week. Windle said: "The Millhouses is an exciting development at a time when we are seeing so many pubs closing down. We think the pub is the perfect place for locals to come dining in a sophisticated but homely setting. "We have a fantastic team in place with Landlady Carol Baines who has run pubs right across South Yorkshire." The Millhouses development follows a similar refurbishment by WL Leisure and Enterprise Inns of The Barrel at Chapeltown, Sheffield, where major work has turned the pub into a contemporary venue with real ales and, for the first time, food.. In a separate project, Windle has revived The Pomona in Sheffield under his Haywin Leisure vehicle. The pub has re-opened under the new name of The Ecclesall.
