Wells & Young’s Brewing Company (WYBC), the joint brewing and marketing venture between Charles Wells and Young & Co, has announced the appointment of Chris Lewis as its new director of marketing. Lewis, who previously worked as brands marketing controller at Carlsberg UK, will join WYBC on 3 January. In this newly created role, he will report directly to Nigel McNally, the company’s managing director. During his time at Carlsberg, Lewis was responsible for overseeing a number of new product launches, including Carlsberg Edge, DraughtMaster, Jacobsen and Christmas Beer. McNally said: “Chris has a wealth of experience that compliments our business and culture perfectly. His hands on approach to marketing and his strong experience with new product innovation will greatly enhance our already strong marketing team.”
