Spirit Pub Company, the managed and leased pub operator, has sold the freehold of a West End of London pub for an undisclosed sum. The Woodstock in Woodstock Street, adjoining Oxford Street, has been sold to a private buyer, said Christie + Co, which handled the sale. Offers came in from as far as the Far East, the agent said. Andrew Robinson, of Christie + Co’s corporate pubs team, said: “The strength of demand for London pubs along with Christie + Co’s access to potential buyers the world over helped secure our clients, the Spirit Pub Company, a surprising premium price. Moreover, the deal was delivered in a month from instruction to completion.”
