A record 47,000 beer lovers attended this year’s Great British Beer Festival at London’s Olympia, according to organiser Camra (Campaign for Real Ale). Numbers were up by nearly 2,000 on 2004, making the most successful festival to date. During the event, which ran from 2-6 August, 240,000 pints were served. Next year the event will be held at Earls Court, 1-5 August.
