Pubs 'n' Bars, the South East of England-based pubco, said in a trading statement today that its results for 2003, due to be announced at the end of this month, would show like-for-like growth of 1.5%. The company said it believed the results, which would be in line with expectations, were "a creditable performance when compared to others in the sector". Trading in the current year continues to be satisfactory , it said, and progress with Community Taverns, the joint venture with the Bank of Scotland announced last December, was ahead of schedule in some areas and on time in others. Pubs 'n' Bars said it had sold the Rose and Crown in Tottenham, North London for £1.15m, a profit on disposal of more than £300,000, while the leasehold of the Roebuck in Southwark, South London has been sold for its book value of £125,000.
