The Clog & Billycock at Pleasington near Blackburn is set to open its doors following a £1.3m joint investment scheme between Thwaites Brewery and gastro pub operator, Ribble Valley Inns, writes Paul Charity. The extended country pub will have the capacity to accommodate 150 diners when it is officially re-launched tomorrow. Lancashire-based Ribble Valley is operated by TV chef Nigel Haworth and business partner Craig Bancroft, owners of the Michelin starred Northcote Manor near Blackburn. The duo already run the Highwayman near Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria, under a deal with Thwaites and the award-winning Three Fishes at Mitton, Lancashire, leased from a private company.
