A pub built into the corner of West Bromwich Albion's ground could be demolished if the team stays in the premiership.

When the club remodelled its east stand last year, it had to built around the Woodman pub.

However, it has now bought the pub from its owners, and club officials have indicated that the Woodman may be knocked down to add another 3,000 seats to increase the ground's capacity.

The demolition would be called off if the club is relegated, however, which would at least provide some consolation to the many West Brom fans who enjoy a pint in the Woodman on matchdays.
