Capital Pub Company has reported a pre-tax profit of £863,000 for the 52 weeks ending 26 March 2005, up 29% on the year. The company, which operates freeholds of non-themed, community-oriented pubs in the Greater London area, saw its turnover rise by 24% to £8.3m over the same period. Capital has also just acquired the Tea Clipper in Knightsbridge, the company’s 15th freehold. Capital Pub chairman J. Bruxnor said: "Overall this has been another year of growth for the company; the important issue now for the company is to exploit its opportunities so we can further enhance its profitability. I am confident the management team will achieve this."
