Principle Leisure is launching a new brand of bars across Sunderland called Establishment. The Morning Advertiser reports that the new concept will feature “eccentrically theatrical” interiors combining elements of present and past eras. A wide drinks selection will be on offer including a range of wines, cocktails, beers and spirits. Aspire at Low Row in Sunderland city centre will reopen this week as the first Establishment bar, following a refurbishment. The bar will serve food daily from noon to 7pm and regularly host DJ nights and run happy hours and promotions. Principle's Nick Berg said: "Establishment is a new idea for Principle and for Sunderland as a whole but we are confident that most people will like what the venue has to offer and enjoy having a new place in the city to go for a meal or a drink,” Principle Leisure hopes to expand the Establishment brand, with plans in place to open a second venue in Teeside later this spring.
