Prague Bar, the London-based Czech concept, has secured its second site in the capital, after acquiring the leasehold interest of the former Bar Sequence in Islington. The new premises are held on the remainder of a 15-year lease from January 2009 for the ground floor of the property, at a passing rent of £37,500 per annum and a premium paid of £55,000. Prague Bar, which already operates on Kingsland Road in Hoxton, is known for possessing London's largest selection of premium Czech lagers and extensive cocktail list, as well as traditional Czech snacks. Rob Meadows, Davis Coffer Lyons, which acted on behalf of landlord Cafe Musica, said: “There is always interest in small sites with late premises licences and this will be an excellent venue for a second Prague Bar. We are seeing strong demand for sites in quality areas that are already fully fitted due to the poor funding climate for lease hold ventures.”
