Britain’s managed pub, restaurant and bar groups saw sales drop just 1% in June from the same month in 2019, according to the Coffer CGA Business Tracker boosted by good weather.
Travel hub operator SSP has simplified its menus by up to 50-60% during the pandemic, which could result in smaller menus remaining post-covid, according to an analysts’ note by Peel Hunt.
East Coast Concepts, the Manchester-based restaurant and bar group, has been bought out of administration.
The new additions to its estate include the famous Jamaica Inn in Cornwall, with the sites to operate as part of RedCat’s The Coaching Inn Group business
The strategy will help tied tenants meet the “serious challenges facing the pub trade, and promote the health of the industry as a whole”
