Mitchells & Butlers (M&B) has restructured its marketing team with the promotion of Paul Madden to director of customer experience and Steve De Polo to director of insight, innovation and brand strategy. The company said that both appointments were the result of its internal succession planning process and would be in supporting its “journey to drive forward our brand strategies and increase our focus on delivering a great guest experience”. Both Madden and De Polo report into Simon Cope, Director of Marketing. Madden was previously head of digital and has worked for M&B for a number of years within marketing and digital communications strategy roles In his new role he will be responsible for guest services, its guest satisfaction programme, customer relationships strategy and digital marketing platforms. De Polo previously worked in portfolio, strategy, operations and most recently headed M&B’s Change Programme. In his new role, he will use consumer insight to inform and shape the group’s brand strategies, understanding market trends and looking at innovation within the market place.
