A former Walkabout bar in London's Islington has been put on the market through property agent Christie & Co. Acting on behalf of Administrator BDO Stoy Hayward, the leasehold interest of the former Walkabout situated on Upper Street is now available. The three-storey property traded as an Australian theme bar over the ground floor with trade kitchen and six-bedroom staff accommodation over the upper floors. Held on lease terms from a national pub company, the unit has around 3–3,500 sq ft trading on the ground floor and an extensive basement and is adjacent to the Business Design Centre and the 184 bed Hilton Hotel. In October, Christie & Co was appointed by BDO to market the leasehold interests of nine ex-Regent Inns sites, which were spread across England. Many of these now surrendered back to the freeholders or in the advance stages of negotiation for new leases.
