The Vine pub in Gosport, Hampshire, has reopened after a decade of lying derelict.

The pub was originally built as a tavern and tea garden in the early 19th century when it served travellers on their way to Alverstoke.

Andy Madgwick, the property’s landlord, said: "It's very exciting to be taking over and opening the pub again. We have made alterations but tried not to ruin the building's character."
