The gastro-pub has crossed the Atlantic to find a footing in New York with the opening of Mario Batali’s The Spotted Pig this week [week ending January 31]. Batali, who also owns Babbo, Lupa, Bar Jamon and Casa Mono in the city, has brought over April Bloomfield, from England, to cook the food.
