Fuller's has rolled out 3.8% abv Gales Seafarers Ale as the first of its line-up of three for its Autumn Beer Festival. Throughout September Fuller's and free-trade pubs will be able to offer the fruity 3.8% brew — and 5p from every pint sold will be donated to maritime charity Seafarers UK. Sales of the beer in 2007 raised nearly £4,000. October will see the arrival of 4.3% abv Red Fox and London Porter in November. John Roberts, managing director of The Fuller’s Beer Company, said: “We have a superb range of award-winning beers that are available in cask all year round. But our brewers have many more recipes up their sleeves and each year we like to give our customers a taste of something a little different.”
