Fuller Smith & Turner investors will be hoping the next acquisition comes before the next century, says the Financial Times, which notes that the company took the best part of 100 years before it pounced on George Gale. The 363-strong pub group said at its full-year results yesterday that it was ready to consider further acquisitions now that it had integrated George Gale, which it bought in December. The company reported pre-tax profit down 13% to £15.3m on turnover up from £129.5m to £145.1m. The shares close up 14p at £11.26.
